MBM Resources Berhad (“MBMR”) presented a donation of RM300,000 to 5 Food Bank Support organisations in a on-going mission to give back to the community and to help those who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The mock cheque was presented by MBMR Chairman, Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid bin Salleh and accompanied by the Group Chief Executive Officer, Encik Muhammad Fateh Teh bin Abdullah and Group Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Annie Chin. The selected 5 Food Bank Support organisations have been actively involved in the distribution of food supports and charities within the communities throughout the nation. The five recipient organisations were Happy Bank Crew, Great Heart Charity, The Lost Food Project, Food Aid Foundation and MyKasih Foundation.
MBMR hopes the contribution will help these organisations in supporting their noble endeavour and journey towards achieving a caring society. According to Encik Muhammad Fateh, “The right to food is a fundamental basic human right and it is the responsible of the society to ensure that this right is being fulfilled. It was for this reason that MBMR decided to come forward to support these noble organisations”.
As a responsible organisation, MBMR will continue to undertake programmes and activities involving the community as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda to take part in philanthropic causes and providing positive social value to the eco-system at large.
